For when you think you’re unworthy.

If you’re doubting whether you’re worthy, just remember that because of Christ’s life, blood, sacrifice, death, and resurrection, you are seen as holy and pure in the Lord’s sight.

[Ephesians 1:4]

Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes.

While you might be focused on the laundry list of all you’ve done wrong or all the things you are not but wish you were, remember that when you confess and repent, the Lord sees Jesus’ perfection covering you.

[Colossians 1:21-22]

This includes you who were once far away from God. You were His enemies, separated from Him by your evil thoughts and actions.

Yet now He has reconciled you to Himself through the death of Christ in His physical body. As a result, He has brought you into His own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before Him without a single fault.

He sees what the world might not see. He sees you deeper than yourself. He sees the man or woman you strive to be. He sees you for who you truly are through repentance, and as He originally made you, without sin.

[Hebrews 10:14 & 17]

For by that one offering He forever made perfect those who are being made holy. The Holy Spirit testifies that this is so, for He says: I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.

And He desires to give you good gifts as you continue to strive to walk an upright life.

[Psalm 84:11]

For the LORD God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The LORD will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.

Because even if all you see right now is the sin of your past or present, after confession and repentance and striving to walk an upright life, the Lord sees the goodness and purity in your heart’s motive and desires.

[Jeremiah 17:10]

But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives.

give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.
